2024 5K Color Run: Run Drugs Out Of Town

2024 5K Color Run: Run Drugs Out Of Town

Saturday, September 28, 2024 (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

The Color Run is a three-kilometer or 5K, untimed run or walk in which participants are doused in different colors at each kilometer. The run/walk caters to everyone — from first time runners and walkers to seasoned athletes; including a shorter distance race with color powder blasts for children. At the end of the event, participants join a “Finish Festival” with music, dancing, and color throws.  It is a unique event that celebrates healthiness and happiness, and Chester County’s event also celebrates a community being created that is free of the dangers of substance misuse. The Run Drugs Out of Town event is being held on Saturday, September 28th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Chester County Fairgrounds, 100 Brendale Drive, Chester.

The Run Drugs Out of Town Color Run and Walk is a free, non-competitive event sponsored by the Hazel Pittman Center. With a focus on youth and families, the Run/Walk aims to bring attention to issues threatening our community, including underage drinking, the opioid crisis, vaping, and marijuana use.  In addition to information about alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs being made available to participants, food trucks, craft vendors, bounce houses and slides for children, giant board games, and a DJ will be on site for an afternoon of family fun. The event is open to runners, walkers, and spectators.

This is a FREE event for ALL ages! Food truck vendors will serve the first 50 customer for FREE; payment will be required for all customers after the first 50.
